How do I transfer my prescriptions to Okuley's?+
Call any of our three locations, fill out our online transfer form, or stop by with your prescription bottles. We need your name, date of birth, the medications you take, and the name of your previous pharmacy. Our team makes the call to your old pharmacy and coordinates the transfer — you don't have to do anything else. Most transfers complete the same business day.
What insurance plans do you accept?+
We accept Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid (including most Ohio Medicaid managed care plans), and most major commercial insurance plans — Anthem, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and others. Our team verifies your coverage before filling and handles prior authorizations directly. If you have a specific plan you want to verify, call us at (419) 784-4800 before transferring.
Do you fill controlled substances?+
Yes. We fill controlled substance prescriptions (Schedule II–V) at all three locations. Controlled substance transfers and refills have stricter regulatory requirements than other medications, so the process may take slightly longer — we'll let you know timing at intake. State and federal requirements limit certain controlled substance transfers, but our team works with your prescriber to navigate them.
How do I refill a prescription?+
Call any of our three locations and we'll get the refill started. If you're on multiple medications, ask about medication synchronization — we'll align all your refills to one pickup day each month so you don't have to keep track of multiple refill dates or make multiple calls.
Do you deliver to my address?+
We offer local delivery to patients across 18+ communities in Northwest Ohio and adjacent areas. Most of Defiance, Paulding, Putnam, Henry, and Fulton counties are within our routine delivery area, plus several towns in adjacent counties. Call us at (419) 784-4800 with your address and we'll confirm whether you're in our delivery zone and what the typical schedule looks like.
Can you ship medications out of the area?+
Yes. For patients outside our local delivery area, we can ship medications via USPS or UPS. Standard prescriptions, compounded medications, and most durable medical equipment can be shipped. Controlled substances and certain temperature-sensitive medications have additional shipping requirements. Call us to discuss timing, packaging, and costs for your specific situation.
Do you fill prescriptions for facilities or group homes?+
Yes. We've provided unit-dose packaging, MAR reporting, controlled substance management, and on-call pharmacist support to regional nursing home, assisted living, and group home facilities since 1995. We currently serve 25+ facilities across Northwest Ohio. Facility administrators can call (419) 784-4800 to discuss pharmacy partnership needs.
